Our story

About First Editions Co.

First Editions Co. began with a simple question: why do the products we use every day have to feel so disposable, so bulky, and so easy to hide away? We wanted laundry care that balanced beauty, function, and less waste — with enough personal touch to make an ordinary routine feel like it belonged in a home, not a utility closet.

Why we made it

A more personal kind of everyday care

Step 01

Built for real laundry days

We still needed detergent that worked: easy to measure, simple to store, and practical for the loads that actually happen each week. Concentrated laundry sheets helped us reduce mess, weight, and plastic without turning laundry into a complicated ritual.

Step 02

Made to be beautiful, not hidden

Most household products are designed to be tucked under a sink. We wanted the opposite: packaging with a literary point of view, soft botanical details, and a shelf-worthy presence that feels personal beside books, flowers, candles, and the objects people already love.

Step 03

Less waste, more intention

High Lady is a small swap, not a perfect solution. But replacing heavy liquid detergent and disposable plastic jugs with lightweight sheets and refillable, display-worthy packaging is one way to make an everyday product feel more considered from purchase to wash day.

Bookish laundry, beautifully made

First Editions was created to find the middle ground between beautiful and useful. We did not want a product that looked lovely but failed at the job, and we did not want a practical product that added more visual clutter or waste to the home.

High Lady brings those pieces together: plant-based detergent sheets for everyday laundry, compact refills that are easier to store and ship, and book-inspired packaging designed to feel personal rather than disposable.

Our hope is simple: to make one routine you repeat all the time feel a little more intentional, a little less wasteful, and a little more like you.
